Terms

Terms & Conditions

Effective 8 July 2026.

These terms apply to all services provided by Yorkshire Coast Gardening Services (“we”, “us”) to you (“you”). By booking with us you agree to them.

1. Bookings and payment

Bookings are confirmed when you receive an email confirmation. Pricing is estimated at booking and finalised after the work is completed — within the agreed scope. Payment is taken from the card on file 24 hours after job completion unless you raise a dispute first.

2. Cancellation and rescheduling

You can cancel or reschedule free of charge up to 24 hours before your booked slot. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the slot may be charged at 50% of the estimate. Recurring bookings can be paused or stopped any time, no notice period required.

3. Access

We need safe access to the garden. If we arrive at the agreed time and cannot get in (locked gates, no access notes), we’ll wait 15 minutes then leave; a missed-visit charge of £20 may apply. Recurring customers: a single key safe / gate code is fine.

4. Weather

We work through light rain. For severe weather (heavy rain, high wind, lightning) we’ll reschedule and notify you the evening before. You don’t lose your slot — we’ll offer the next available.

5. Quality and disputes

We photograph the work at completion. If you’re not satisfied, tell us within 24 hours of completion and we’ll come back to put it right at no cost. After 24 hours the card on file is auto-charged. Genuine concerns raised after that are still resolved fairly — ring us.

6. Damage and insurance

We carry £5 million public liability insurance. Accidental damage caused by us is covered. Please tell us in advance about any hidden cables, fragile plants you’d like protected, or pets in the garden.

7. Photos

We take before/after photos for every job — for invoicing and quality records. We never publish identifiable photos of your home without explicit written permission. Email us if you’d like us to delete photos of your garden.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes our liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud. For all other matters, our maximum liability is the value of the work performed in the 12 months preceding the event.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. Disputes will be heard in those courts.
