Privacy policy.

Last updated: 8 May 2026

This privacy policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal information you share with us. We comply with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

We are a small gardening services business covering the Yorkshire coast. For data protection law we are the data controller for any personal information you share with us.

What we collect

  • Quote enquiries — name, email, phone number, postcode and any photos you send us.
  • On-site visits — property address, job details, measurements and photos taken for quoting or record-keeping.
  • Payment processing — card details are handled by our payment provider; we don't store full card numbers.
  • Website usage — basic analytics (pages visited, device type, approximate location). See our cookie policy.

How we use your data

  • To respond to quote requests and carry out work you've booked.
  • To contact you about your job, booking or follow-up visit.
  • To issue invoices, process payments, and keep accounting records.
  • With your consent, to send the occasional update or seasonal reminder.

Lawful basis

We process your data on these lawful bases: performance of a contract when you instruct us to carry out work; legal obligation for accounting and tax records; legitimate interest for quoting and running the business; consent for any marketing.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We may share information with our accountants, HMRC, our payment processor, and any contractors helping on a specific job (always under data processing agreements).

How long we keep it

Quote enquiries: up to 2 years. Customer records and invoices: 7 years for tax purposes.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to processing, and complain to the ICO. To exercise these rights, contact us.
